"Today there are two categories of luxury. One is of displays of wealth, abundance, bling-bling, show-off; and the second is quality, refinement, discretion. We are in the second category, and the crisis has accelerated the switch from category one to category two. People have realised that the real sense of a luxury item is to please yourself discreetly. We see it in Russia, the Middle East, America and in China; the bling-bling is becoming less important. The object itself, its quality, its finish and its design are more important."
New colors of the leopard scarves are out. Gris, Spray Rose, Spray Bleu and Disco Marron. The Gris was available on the LouisVuitton.com website but was out of stock last I checked. From past experience, check the website often. I scored my purple and anthracite versions by finding them pop back in stock online late one night.
If you are looking for some cheaper leopard cashmere stole options I recommend a few brands that I have purchased and love.
I have this grey and blue Kashmere scarf from BlueFly. It is a nice quality though slightly thicker than the LV stoles. For many this is a good thing because the LV versions are prone to runs and snags as they are very thin.
