The Architek is the hottest new shoe this season from Christian Louboutin in my opinion. The pop of red from the front and the back make these very unique. I have these babies on the way in the red/black combo from Bergdorfs pre-order which had my hard to find size 42 available but you can also get them from my advertiser Net-a-porter.com. The blue/yellow combo is available from brownsfashion.com
The infamous silver Manolo Sedaraby in silver is available right now at Barneys.com. This is a classic shoe that is often chosen as a bridal shoe . The neutral metallic color makes it a very versatile shoe that can go with many different color outfits.
I love Christian Louboutin (see first pic) but sometimes you want the look of a certain style but don't want to spend nearly $1000 for it or even a few hundred on sale if you can find your size. The Jessica Simpson Justine style is similar to the popular Louboutin Activa design and this Jessica Simpson Josette style has a tiger print that is similar to that found on the Louboutins. You can find the Josette at Zappos.com and the Justine at Nordstrom.com
Oprah had a segment today on one of my favorite shoe designers Christian Louboutin. Models sported two of my favorites in my collection: the Para La Cruz and the Glitter Numero Prive that I have previously highlighted. If you missed it you can see a recap and slideshow of shoes that were modelled on these links to the segment on Oprah.com
Can you tell I am loving all the pink for spring! Maybe it has something to do with today being the 100th anniversary of the founding of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. I adore these pink leather flats by Giuseppe Zanotti! Comfortable and chic. When I first saw these I assumed they were actual snakeskin but they are leather that are embossed to look like snakeskin. The good thing is that the use of leather makes these babies more affordable at $395 (yes that is affordable in designer shoes nowadays) so you can also get them in silver and yellow as well! All three colors are available at Net-a-Porter.com; click the Net-a-Porter banner above to add these to your collection.
These gold python Pedro Garcia ballet flats are just too fabulous! I am a major fan of python on my accessories and I think metallics look better with some texture versus a plain flat leather finish. This shoe is no exception, the gold metallic and python combined make this shoe an absolute must have item in any diva's shoe collection. I own 3 pairs of his shoes and I find that the size 41 is a good fit for a size 11. You can find them at eLuxury.com
Have you been looking for an ivory bag? Here is an excellent option by YSL. I don't know why but it kind of reminds me of the functionality of the Hermes Birkin style, yet more affordable, accessible and with a shoulder strap! The crocodile embossed glossy patent leather finish should protect it from attracting a lot of stains, which is a common concern for buyers of white/ivory bags. You can find it at Saks.
Three girly pink pumps from Christian Louboutin. I wonder if he created these pink beauties because he knew 2008 is the 100 year anniversary of my beloved Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority? OK doubtful but it was a thought. I am adoring the fuschia glitter patent and non-glitter fuschia Numero Prive slingback versions myself...the bubblegum pink is just a wee bit too Legally Blonde for me. They are currently available at NeimanMarcus.com and BergdorfGoodman.com
Are you full-figured ladies having the same trouble finding a good pair of skinny jeans like I am to go with those Louboutin pumps and ballet flats? Bootcut jeans just do not look right with everything. And even though we may not be skinny...every plus size gal should have a pair of skinny jeans in the wardrobe.
My two favorites after trying several brands are: Rocawear (never would have considered this brand but to my surprise these are very nice jeans and have a great fit for a very tall curvy gal like myself) and Svoboda. I found what works on my body and I am sticking to these for now.
You can also try Beyonce's House of Dereon, Z. Cavaricci or Torrid brand at Torrid.com
I love the Zagliani crocodile and python bags! I am also a fan of Devi Kroell python bags, I own the large classic hobo in bronze and silver, but this design seems a bit more practical. I first saw them on an Oprah show where Cindy Crawford hyped them up and described how the designer is a dermatologist, Mauro Orietti-Carella, and the skins are injected with silicone which makes the skins softer and the texture more even. Jennifer Lopez has been seen carrying a python version. I've been dreaming of a fuschia croc bag from Hermes but I just may need to consider this as an alternative. A Fuschia croc Birkin from Hermes would more than twice the price of fuschia croc from this designer. Zagliani bags can be found at Matchesfashion.com and Saks.com
What do I spy with my little eye? For those still adoring the Fendi spy bag and for the avid collector, here is a new Pomegranate orange spy bag for you as seen at Saks.com.
Carlos Falchi has an adorable Salmon crocodile tote at Neiman Marcus.
For the Jimmy Choo fans, here is a bright red patent leather Ramona bag for you. Who cares what else you are wearing...when carrying this bag it will be that show-stopper accent that gets noticed. You can find it at Bergdorf Goodman.
These silver beauties are new for Spring 2008 and are currently available for pre-order through a special link Neiman Marcus provides to its best customers. The nude version of this shoe is also available for pre-order from Saks.com and were featured in a full page January Vogue ad. I've pre-ordered the silver.
For the budget fashionistas, here is a Steve Madden knockoff (named the "Percy") of the new Cruise 2008 Jimmy Choo Lumiere shoe in pink patent that is being widely advertised. The Choo can be found at Saks.com.
Courtesy of Concreteloop.com here are some pics of Beyonce and some of her fashion choices for 2007. Her style is all about the glamour and all about the accessories. She can often be seen wearing jeans and tees with flashy shoes, bags and earrings. A girl after my own heart! That is why I say if you are going to splurge on a fashion purchase, spend the money on accessories. They also are items you can use no matter how much your dress size may change over the years. She also seems to be a big fan of a nice quality designer jacket. This is also a fashion must in my book. A nice well tailored jacket is another item that all fashionistas MUST splurge on. You can rock the right jacket with jeans, a dress from Target or H&M or a dressier outfit. I've never been a big fan of her handbag choices (they tend to be a bit too trendy for my tastes...I tend to be more into classic bags) but I love many of her shoe choices. It is all about a unique pair of shoes! Can you believe that that Louis Vuitton Patchwork Tribute bag is over $40,000!!!
One of my favorite and most worn Louboutin shoes! I have them in the silver with multi-colored glitter. They are show stoppers whenever I wear them out. They give that extra bit of drama to whatever you are wearing. They also came in gold with multi-colored glitter, all silver and all gold. The glitter does not come off easily and is on very securely. I've travelled with these in my luggage loose and there was not much shedding at all. Sizing: US 11= 42
One of the hottest shoes of 2007! The Christian Louboutin Foxtrots. They are amazingly comfortable for the height of the heel. They came in a few different color combinations: black, silver, red or gold were the primary colors....my fav was the gold version that I own. Sizing: US 11 = 42
