Want a flashy festive evening shoe but are are not feeling like 4 inch heels? Looking for a shoe to change into after dancing for hours in stilettos that you can slip in your purse? Looking for a shoe to change to at your wedding reception to give your feet a break from heels? I have the perfect solution in the new sequined flats that are out now by a variety of designers. Of course Christian Louboutin has his version which are $880 at Neimans and Bergdorfs if you want to go high end. If you are seeking the look in a more affordable brand without Louboutin's trademark red sole...try the $110+ Oz style by OhDeer! brand. I opted for the cheaper version and find them very comfy and true to size. Zappos did not have my size 11 so I had to go to the source at the OhDeer! website. I may just have to get these in black sequins as well.

One of the iconic Chanel bags has been revamped this season in metallic shades of dark silver, gold, purple, navy blue, black and red. Another 'dark silver' was released last year that has more of a bronze tone to it versus the new one which is more of a pewter/anthracite. With waiting lists that were filled before they even were delivered to stores...count yourself lucky if you find one. They come a range of sizes from the very small which would be great for evening bag use to the gigantic extra large or Jumbo size (my personal favorite) which has plenty of room for everyday use. The sizes vary in price so this bag can be had from the $2000s to approx. $3500 for the largest. In the past this bag has also been available in dark gold, white, gray, black, black patent, gold and light silver.

My latest arrival courtesy of Neiman Marcus is the silver Sometimes Laminata oxford by Chrisitian Louboutin. This is one that is probably not for the more conservative ladies but for those with a diva sense of style will appreciate these beauties. They apparantly come in black also (mytheresa.com)so I may have to look into those also because I love the style of these. They are very comfy thanks to the platform and the ability to adjust the lacing to accomodate your foot is nice for comfort as well. I would definitely expect to see Beyonce rocking these sometime soon in a paparazzi photo. Can you imagine Tina Turner in these at the recent Grammy performance?

Tadashi is my favorite designer when I need an after-five or evening dress. His designs are frequently worn by Queen Latifah on the red carpet. I love that the material and designs are almost always flattering to a curvy hourglass figure and that his designs can be made in up to a size 18-20 or xxxl. You can find these dresses at Saks.com in the Salon Z for sizes 14+. You can order the white dress that Nia Long is rocking at Tadashi boutiques. I have the white one on order and own the gunmetal metallic dress also.
They are no longer sold in stores but are a hot seller on eBay if you can find an authentic one. The white and black bowler bags have a lot of fakes floating around out there. This is a classic Tom Ford design by Gucci.
The Blondie comes in various styles
1) small hobos
2) large hobos with about a 7 or 8 inch strap drop that fit right under your arm (approx 14.5 x 12 inches )
3) larger hobos with a longer messenger 14 inch strap drop to hit more at the hip (approx 17 x 12.5 inches)
4) satchel or bowlers (approx 16.5 x 9.5 inches and 6 inch strap drop)
5) totes (approx 14 x 8.5 inches and 5 inch strap drop)
6) flaps (approx 13 x 9.5 inches and 9 inch strap drop)
The GG emblem may be studded or not and the bag came in a pebbled leather, smooth leather, multicolored fabric or exotic crocodile.
The bowlers have sold on ebay in the $1300s to $1700s.
The small hobos and flaps typically sell for $350 -$500.
The large hobos typically sell for around $550 to $700.
